Pre-school Wellness Days
|
The Killarney Optometric Centre has been a part of Pre-school Wellness Days in Killarney as well as nearby Boissevain for many years.
Each spring before the school year ends, school divisions in this area hold Pre-school Wellness days.
Parents whose children will be entering kindergarten in the fall, bring their children to have their hearing, development, vision, etc.
assessed by professionas in those fields.

Senior Citizen Adjustment Days
|
As part of a community service, technicians from the Optometric Centre travel to local senior citizen homes a couple of times per year.
The technicians provide much needed frame adjustments, minor repairs and maintenance to resident's eyewear.
This service is provided for a minamal fee to cover travel costs.

The Shamrock Centre-Silver Sponsor

A state-of-the-art recreation complex was built in Killarney in 2009 and named The Shamrock Centre.
This complex houses a skating rink, curling rink, bowling alley, lounge, canteen, fitness centre & walking track, meeting rooms, and a large hall.
The Optometric Centre is proud to be a Silver Sponsor of this facility. On behalf of the Killarney Optometric Centre,
Dr.Letts and Dr.DeCock presented the acility with an automated external defibrillator.

Killarney Lakeside Golf Course
|
The Optometric Centre donates prizes to various golf groups and tournaments throughout the year.
However, each year the beautiful 18 hole golf course in Killarney holds it's Annual Fundraising Tournament.
The Optometric Centre is proud to be a 'hole sponsor' for this tournament.

Minor Hockey Booster
|
A donation is made annually in support of Killarney minor hockey.

Various Donations
|
Various donations continue to be made throughout the year to many groups such as the Agriculture Society,
Killarney Collegiate, Fly Wheel Club, hardball, Senior hockey, Women's hockey, Curling bonspiels,
Diabetes Association, and other worthwhile funraisers.
